Breaking the expectations!

Last Wednesday November 25, the just created men’s basketball team of Alfa Fundacion High School had a difficult debut against Emiliano Zapata’s High School, the friendly game was performed at 4:30 pm at the gym of the mentioned school, with the purpose of practicing with a “real” team.

The game wasn’t easy for the Alfa Fundacion High School’s team. Not only because it was their first game as a team, but also because the players didn’t believe that they could win. At the same time,  they weren't very confident and didn’t had good expectations about the results. But the truth is that, no matter what, the team had a lot of enthusiasm. Just a couple of minutes before the game started, one of the players said “We know that our possibilities to win are almost 0, but hope is what maintains us here.” With that thought in their hearts, they went against all odds and -with a crushing score of 46 against 24 points-, Alfa’s team demonstrated that the desire to win outweighs everything else.
